About Rukario

This is the site for Rukario to complain about the world of Pokémon. What’s that, you say, Rukario is a Pokémon himself, and his real name is Lucario? Yes, Rukario is a Pokémon; his name is Lucario if you think onigiri is a jelly doughnut/éclair/whatever Gail Tilden wants to call it this week – his name is Rukario if you can read Japanese katakana (ルカリオ) and you know what onigiri is. My preference is to use the name “Rukario” unless I’m referring explicitly to the character in an NOA-released product (eg. the US release of Diamond/Pearl or the US release of the 8th movie).

So, who is Rukario/Lucario, then?
Rukario is a Pokémon and the main character of the eighth Pokémon movie, ミュウと波導の勇者 ルカリオ, Mew and the Wave-Guiding Hero Rukario (Japanese name) / Lucario and the Mystery of Mew (English name).

But you’re not really this Pokémon, are you?
Of course not, I am just a Poké-fan, who happens to think Rukario is the best Pokémon ever created. I mean, look at the top of this page! Have you ever seen another Pokémon do a Kamehameha?

I have a tattoo of him, and AYR, and Scyther, on my leg. I’ll post a picture here once I get a round tuit. Or you can look at this one.

Well then, who or what is AYR?
AYR = Annoying Yellow Rat, of course! If you’re looking at this page, I gather you know something about Pokémon, so you should be able to figure it out…

So, is this a Pokémon or an anti-Pokémon site?
It is certainly not an anti-Pokémon site. More than anything, it is an anti-anti-Pokémon site, trying to counter the negativity that surrounds Pokémon, including negativity that comes from within; for me, that includes the Americanisation of Pokémon.

Besides, if this were an anti-Pokémon site, I wouldn’t be providing Amazon Pokémon shops!

So, do you actually make any money off these Amazon sites?
Not really, it doesn’t make enough micropayments to be eligible for real payment. Really, it’s just for convenience, as it was becoming a pain to copy and paste links from Amazon’s site into posts (also I can only link from only one Amazon site). As I buy most of my Pokémon stuff from Amazon, it would be nice if only I got a cut for referring myself…

Anyway if you want a link for your site to Amazon, you can go to the associates page at Amazon UK or Amazon US and sign up for their associates program. They’ll provide the links to cut and paste to your site, and even the shop. All you need to do is add the items.
